MOTIVES
Umar bin Khattab reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "Actions are governed by motives and everyone will be given according to his motive. Thus if a man performs Hijrah (migration) for the sake of God and His Prophet ﷺ then it will be counted for God and His Prophet ﷺ, but whoever migrates to secure material gain or for marriage, will be counted accordingly." (Unanimous)
It is reported from Abu Huraira that the Prophet ﷺ had said, “God does not consider your looks or your wealth but looks to your hearts and actions." (Muslim)
Muhajir bin Habib says that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God says that He does not accept everything that a wise man says, but looks to his intention and motive. If his intent is my obedience, I regard his silence as My praise even if he does not speak." (Darimi)
It is reported from Jabir that the Prophet ﷺ had said, that the best book is the book of God and the best conduct is that of Muhammad ﷺ (whose example should be followed)." (Muslim)
Abu Umama reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God accepts only such acts which are done for His pleasure alone." (Abu Daud & Nasai)

FAITH
It is reported from Umar bin Khattab that a visitor (who was actually the Angel Gabriel had come to the Prophet ﷺ in human form) inquired of the Prophet ﷺ, "What is faith?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is to believe in God, His angels, the books revealed by Him, His Prophets and the last day, as also to believe that whatever happens in the world, whether good or bad is from God." (Muslim)
It is reported from Sufyan bin Abdullah Thaqafi that he asked the Prophet ﷺ to indicate to him something about Islam that he might not need asking about it from anyone else afterwards, the Prophet ﷺ said, "say that you believe in God and stick to it." (Muslim)
It is reported from Anas that whenever the Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon he always said, "One who has no trust in him is devoid of belief and one who disregards promise is devoid of faith." 0(Mishkat quoting from Baihaqi in Shu’ab al-lman)
Abu Huraira reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God's injunction is that of all partnerships He is most aloof from the sin of assigning partners to Him. If in any action man includes another along with Him, He has nothing to do with that action and He is disgusted with such action, which belongs to the party which has been associated with Him." (Muslim)
Abu Huraira says that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God says, '! am with My servant when he remembers Me and both of his lips move in My Remembrance'." (Bukhari)
It is reported from Abu Musa Ash'ari that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "One who remembers God and one who does not are respectively like the living and the dead." (Bukhari & Muslim)
Abdullah bin Abbas says that (Heraclius asked Abu Sufyan) "What does this man (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) ask of you?" Abu Sufyan replied, "He tells us to worship God and not to assign any partners to Him in His Almightiness, to give up the creed of our forefathers and what they did. He also asks us to offer prayers, be truthful, take to the life of charity and meet the claims of our relatives." (Bukhari)
It is reported from Abu Umama that the Prophet ﷺ had said that one who loved for the sake of God, had enmity for His sake, gave for His sake and abstained for His sake had perfected his faith. (Bukhari) 
It is reported from Abu Huraira that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God says He is above all partnership and independent of it more than any partner. One who commits the crime of assigning partners and associates with Him, He parts with him and his sin." The words in another report are, 'I am disgusted with him and his action is for the object he associates'." (Muslim)
Abdullah bin Umar reports that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say, that whosoever swore by anyone else besides God, committed the sin of disbelief or assigning partners to Him. (Tirmidhi)
It is reported from Abdullah bin Amr that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "None of you will be a true believer unless his wishes have conformed to what I have brought." (Sharh-us-Sunna)
Abu Huraira says that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God is angry with one who does not ask from Him." (Tirmidhi)
Abu Sa'id Khudri reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said: "Whenever a Muslim prays, provided it is not sinful or against blood relatives, God accepts it in one of the three forms; either the man's wish is granted in this world or is kept safe for reward in the next, or some evil of the same magnitude (trouble or calamity) is warded off". The companions said: "In that case we will pray much." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Benevolence of God is also great." (Ahmad).
It is reported from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "None of you will be a man of the faith unless he loves me more than his parents, his children and all other people." (Unanimous)
Abu Umama al-Bahilee reports that a person asked the Prophet ﷺ, "What is faith?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "When you are pleased with a good act and sorry and pained for an evil one you have faith. The man again asked, "What is sin?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "When you feel troubled or doubtful about any act, give it up." (Ahmad)
It is reported from Abdullah bin Umar that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "Just as rust gathers on iron when water touches it, in the same way some hearts also become rusty. People asked how these hearts could be purified. The Prophet ﷺ said by remembering death frequently and by reading the Qur'an." (Baihaqi)
Ali bin Abi Talib reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "No one can be a true believer unless he makes the following four declarations, that there is no one worthy of worship except God, that I am a true Messenger sent by God with truth, and belief in death and being raised after death and in destiny." (Tirmidhi)

FORGIVENESS
God's Mercy and Forgiveness is greater than His Anger
It is reported from Abu Huraira that the Prophet ﷺ had said. "God While Creating the living beings, recorded it in His Book which is with him at the Divine Seat that His Mercy is greater than His Anger" (Bukhari Muslim & Tirmidhi)
Anas bin Malik reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God is more pleased with His servant when he turns to Him after committing a sin than the man who unexpectedly finds his she-camel which he had lost in the desert." (Bukhari & Muslim)
Abdullah bin Umar reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God grants forgiveness till before the death rattle." (Tirmidhi)
It is reported from Abu Dharr Ghifari that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "God has declared that if anyone does one good act, He will reward him ten times and more and if anyone does one evil act, the punishment will be only for one act or may be forgiven. If anyone advances one span towards Me, I will advance the length of a hand towards him and whosoever advances towards Me at a hand's length, I will advance towards him at two hands' length. If anyone walks towards Me, I will come running towards him. If anyone comes to Me with sins of the weight of the earth I will meet him with an equal amount of forgiveness, provided he has not assigned partners to Me’." (Muslim & Tirmidhi)
Amr bin Aas says that when the idea of accepting Islam came to his mind he went to the Prophet ﷺ and requested him to extend his hand to take his pledge. However, when the Prophet ﷺ extended his hand he withdrew his and on the Prophet's asking why he did so, he said that he had one condition for accepting Islam and on the Prophet's asking what it was he said that the condition was that all his previous sins were forgiven. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'O Amr, do you not know that Islam covers up all the sins committed before accepting Islam.' (Muslim) 

HEREAFTER
Abdullah bin Masud reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "(On the Day of Judgement) the son of Adam will not be allowed to move away (from the Divine Court) till he has answered the following five questions: What work did he do in his life? How did he spend his youth? How did he earn and spend? And lastly, how far did he act up to knowledge which was given to him?" (Tirmidhi)
Abu Umama says that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "On the Day of Judgement the lowest in degree will be the man who spoils his chances in the next world for another's benefit of this world." (Ibn Maja)
Usama bin Zaid reports that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "On the Day of Judgement a man will be brought and thrown into the fire and his entrails will come out when he will walk along with these as the donkey goes round a flour mill. Other people of the hell will gather round him and ask him, 'What has happened to you? Are you not the man who enjoined on us to do good and abstain from evil.' The man will say, 'I did so, but while I asked you to do good I myself did not act upon it and while I asked you to refrain from evil I myself indulged in it'." (Unanimous)
