RELATIONSHIP WITH MUHAMMAD (SAAW)

RELATIONSHIP WITH MUHAMMAD (SAAW)

Relationship of Mankind
- O mankind! The Messenger [Muhammad (SAAW)!] has come to you in truth from Allah (SWT). Believe in him. It is best for you. But if you reject Faith, to Allah (SWT) belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
(An-Nisa’4, Ayah 170)
- Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Bible, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them, so they believed in him, honored him, supported him followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be successful.
- Say [O Muhammad (SAAW)!], “O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, (from Him) to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.” So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His Words, and follow him that you may be guided.
(Al- Aa’raf 7, Ayat 157-158)
The Ayat quoted above provide a very clear basis of the relationship of mankind with the Prophet (SAAW). As is evident from the Ayat, Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) and the Message that was sent through him were both sent for the whole mankind and not for a particular region, race or creed. However, the choice of accepting the Truth was left to the freewill of individuals.
- He, who obeys the Messenger (SAAW), obeys Allah (SWT): but if any turns away, We have not sent you [O Muhammad (SAAW)!] as a warder over them.
(AN-Nisa’ 4, Ayah 80)
- There shall be no compulsion in (acceptance of) religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So, whoever disbelieves in Taghut (falsehood) and believes in Allah (SWT), has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah (SWT) is Hearing and Knowing.
(Al-Baqarah 2, Ayah 256)
